Youngs Chicken was established in 1993 specializing in retail and wholesale of fresh poultry products
serving the Canberra region. It was started in a local shop as husband and wife team.
As it succeeded in winning consumer confidence through freshness of its produce ever since the
initial stage of operation, business took off in a fast and consistent pace.
Followed by the growing of sale volume , number of employees rose accordingly. We soon moved
into much bigger premises in a neighboring suburb to meet with the rapidly increasing demand.
By year 2000, we were already the biggest amongst Canberra based operations including those who
started years ahead of us. And we are well known for freshness of our products.
Unfortunately, just before year 2000 sydney Olympic our premises were burnt down, but however our
determination of continuously serving our customers helped us to overcome the challenge.
The incident took place at 1 o'clock in the morning, only four hours later we were operating from
another location(special thanks to mike's meat in fyshwick act). Therefore, there wasn't even a single day that we failed to serve our customers under such circumstances. And we were able to rebuild and moved back within two weeks. Without the great effort of our team or the loyalty of our valued
customers who carried us through that difficult period, our business will not be where it is today.
We are now located in the industrial area of queanbeyan nsw, bordering canberra. Our team consists
over 25 highly experienced staff and we are operating from almost 1000 square meter premises with
NSW Food Authority and Haccp approval. Our delivery vehicles are also approved and monitored by
NSW Food Authority.
We are dedicated to serve our region with fresh produce DAILY, just as what we have been doing for
past 17 years.
